Grants for Educational Institution
January 4th, 2008 by adminThe higher education in the US universities and colleges is very expensive and majority of the students do not have an opportunity to cover all studying expenses, such as tuition fee, book fee, insurance, living expenses, accommodation and transportation. because of it the students have to apply for different types of student`s financial aid. The most advantageous type of student`s financial aid is the student`s grant. Grant money is free and they must be repaid after graduation. But not only students need money to cover the studying expenses. The educational institutions have also their needs and they also apply for different types of federal and private grants.
Each student needs individual approach and attention from the teachers and tutors and each student has his own style of studying. According to the individual ways of learning the teachers have to use different teaching methods.
All students are looking for the ways they study the best. For example, some students prefer to study Grammatik with the help of examples and samples, other students pick up the educational material by reading the books and rules. In the same time final tests must also be different for different students. To demonstrate the same knowledge and skill some students have to pass oral exams and others – writing exams.
To provide individual approach to the students, the schools can receive grants. Each candidate must show the proposal to the grant committee and prove the necessity of the money. There are some requirements for the proposals: The proposal must:
- Provide all information about the goals of the educational institution;
- Detail information about university or college;
- Show how the grant money will be used;
- Show which is the target group of the grant;
- Present a plan of the grant program realization;
- Include the list of the staff involved in the realization of the program;
- Show the methods of the staff;
- Include a budget of the grant plan.
