Grant for Education

Next year the Pell Grant program will have more sources, and it should be strangely enough to put several students through university: $2.6 billion more than now. Awards should total from $5000 to $5400 per student maximum. It depends upon your need, your EFC, FAFSA and others.

At present, the White House wishes to take money from student loan programs such as Perkins Loans into grant programs. The proposal shows 47 programs ending. In fact, congress will decide and then subject it for approbation. I’m not sure that all those programs will absolutely disappear, but we may observe programs change some.

Why would the president suggest terminating 47 programs? At first, he wishes to place the money to another locality. That’s why $20 billion over 5 years would move into grant programs. Also, in the past creditors didn’t have individual student lends that worked well enough. The idea of government student lends has been around some times ago, and individual student lends not even that long. Those days, individual student lends have perfected extremely and carry much of the burden to assist students.

Many budget and analysts legislators should realize the importance of good education.
